Why Travel Shapes How I Show Up
I travel because I love it and because it teaches me. My passion for travel is rooted in curiosity about people, history, culture, and the many ways communities create meaning and care for one another, often under complex and unseen circumstances.
Travel has been one of my greatest teachers. It challenges my assumptions, expands my empathy, and reminds me how much we miss when we move too quickly or assume we already understand. It has also been deeply restorative, helping me reconnect with myself and return home with greater clarity about what truly matters.
This blog is a space for reflection and curiosity. Here I share moments from my travels and explore what they have taught me about resilience, leadership, community, and the importance of listening before acting. These experiences shape how I show up in my work with leaders, organizations, and foundations that want to engage communities with intention, humility, and authenticity.
My hope is that something here invites you to pause, to see a little differently, or to consider what you might learn by stepping outside your comfort zone, whether through travel or by listening more deeply to the world around you.
